Assertiveness Assessment
The Assertiveness Assessment helps you understand how confidently and effectively you express yourself in different contexts. This test evaluates your communication patterns across personal relationships, workplace interactions, and conflict situations. Based on established assertiveness training frameworks, it measures your tendency toward passive behavior (difficulty expressing needs), aggressive behavior (expressing needs at others' expense), or balanced assertiveness (clear, respectful self-expression). Understanding your assertiveness level provides insights into relationship dynamics, workplace effectiveness, and personal boundaries.
Info About This Test
Based on the Rathus Assertiveness Schedule (RAS) and Gambrill-Richey Assertion Inventory principles. Uses frequency-based self-report across five domains: expressing opinions, boundary setting, handling criticism, initiating interactions, and emotional expression. Scoring follows validated assertiveness continuum from passive through balanced to aggressive communication styles. Questions 3, 7, 11, 15, and 18 use reverse scoring to measure passive tendencies.
This assessment measures assertiveness tendencies based on self-reported behavior patterns. Results provide insight into communication styles but are not diagnostic tools. For concerns about communication difficulties, anger management, or relationship conflicts, please consult a licensed therapist or counselor.
