Self-Concept Clarity
Self-concept clarity reflects the extent to which your beliefs about yourself are clearly and confidently defined, internally consistent, and stable over time. High clarity means you have a coherent understanding of who you are, while low clarity suggests uncertainty or frequent changes in self-perception. This test helps you understand how well you know yourself and where self-knowledge might be strengthened.
Info About This Test
Based on Campbell et al.'s Self-Concept Clarity Scale (1996), the gold standard measure in identity psychology. Uses 12 items on 5-point Likert scales. Items 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 11, and 12 are reverse-scored. Scoring: average all items (after reversing), then classify into four levels based on research-validated cutoffs.
This test measures self-concept clarity for personal insight and reflection. It is not a diagnostic tool and should not replace professional psychological assessment. If you're experiencing significant identity confusion or distress, please consult a mental health professional.
